Just been hammering the snes version over the last week and its perhaps my fav of the series. On the hardest difficulty its very tricky and really feels like you are in a race which was something rare back in 1991. Its fast, smooth, handles really well, just a classic.

X is next for me, only just losing out but i loved the new direction they took it with the sound and presentation. Very metal. Great course design and mega fast with so much going on and watching someone blow up whilst travelling alongside is a great thing to see.

GX after, like it a lot, but it just lacks the feel of the series, the casino tracks are awful, segas nasty cheesy arcade style is stamped on this game and ruins it to some extent. Still plays very well and some great tracks but not a huge fan.

I'm still not happy with this A button mechanic in Max Vel.
What's the mechanic in GP Legends like? Perhaps I'll pick that up instead. Anyone want to try this one for what I paid? £5+p&p I think.

Get Maximum Velocity. Trust me it's good. Out of all the F-Zeros it's my most played, by far.

Only amateurs tap the A button to straighten up. No way are you going to clear the game up to unlocking the Jet Vermilion playing like that. After that though it's the time trials where the real game is.

That's funny - I used that method to unlock all the cars. I'm curious as to how you did it.
