There is a MK Trilogy BIN keeps popping up on fleabay every couple of weeks but it is £125

Thanks for tidying the list, I only grabbed it from an old site I used when I was collecting it back in 2002-3ish so pleased someone could put some good prices down

I have seen there is a Deep Fear auction on atm and a BIN for Megaman too (£59)

Blimey Deep Fear goes for that much???

My Jpn version is worth pennies.

Only PAL game I still have worth money is Burning Rangers.

I would possibly put Courier Crisis up into the higher bracket. Not necessarily on price grounds, but on rarity - it's definitely a tough nut. Not at all convinced that Striker 96 is that hard / expensive to find. I seem to recall that NHL All Star 98 wasn't easy though. Frankenstein, Maximum Force and Atlantis will all be towards the higher end of the scale for the lower bracket too.

Mortal Kombat Trilogy will without a shadow of a doubt be the hardest one to find. Good luck with that!

(N.B. added some approximate prices for the games listed above. I might be a little bit out of date with some of these pricings, but ought to give you an idea anyway)
Bang on the money as always Tirian, only thing I’m going to add is that I’ve seen the price of SwagMan hit between £80 - £100 at time. I’m surprised it doesn’t go for more as it was a PAL only release and is a very good Zelda clone with some nice puzzle elements.

Megaman X3 also tends to go for about £50 these’s days as that was only release in English in PAL and I think some of the US collectors have picked up on that these days hence the price increase.

Mortal Kombat Trilogy is indeed the rarest title, but a couple of the other come a close second. I was lucky and won it on ebay for £40 two years back now, but the price has spiked since.

As Tirian said Striker 96 is not that rare, I’ve seen tons of copies of it all going very cheap. A few of the sports games like the NHL mentioned and NBA Action 98 are tricky to find both dare I say it our actually quite good.

Still need Frankenstein, Maximum Force, Courier Crisis and Atlantis myself all these games I’m still kicking myself for not picking them up in days of old.

Battle Monsters and Battle Station also seem to be a lot rarer these days and tracking down the photo CD operating system is a real pain. Oh and if you have to get a one demo disc, Saturn Power Vol 2, featured a demo of Re-loaded on the Saturn which never saw release.

Haha good luck. I go to a big one quite often and its only good if you want PS1 generally.

Aye, I've given up on car boot sales as well. Everytime I go I get my hopes up but havn't found anything of note for about 2 years. I live in hope though...

Exactly, there must be more to having to rely on eBay.

My view on car boots has really taken a dive over the last year...
As much as I love the internet, eBay and the like. The fact everyone can now check completed listings in any category and instantly become knowledgeable about the going prices for anything, it makes car boot sales almost pointless at times.

You have car boot sellers saying the same old lines, 'It goes for this much on eBay' or 'I could get this much for it if I sold it online'...

So why dont you? Put it on there, get your cash and don't waste our time...

With the accessibility of the internet today, its almost made car boot sales eBay 2. Instead of sellers selling their goods to clearout/make a bit on the side for the price they want, they now want the price of what its worth online.

Its understandable, we dont want to be giving away money. But really, the whole car boot friendly vibe seems to be gone and we're left with angry sellers wanting top prices.

As much as we love the internet, it has killed alot for us at the same time.

I'd agree with that. When a boot seller comes that crap with me I laugh at them. On ebay you have (admittedly crappy) paypal protection if something goes wrong, and you are not just buying an item from an exposed table that is open to the elements.

Never underestimate the power of the haggle!

Thread ressurection time (and also hi again from me).

I've never really thought of myself as a 'collector' as such, have got stacks of games across various systems....but lately for some odd reason I've really taken to the Saturn and, like some others, am now focused on getting as much for it as I can...I've decided that it's the ONLY one of my retro consoles I'm going to buy any stuff for, for the time being until I've either got all the best stuff, or everything PAL release there is for it. (Incidentally, I'm only interested in PAL Saturn games, call me crazy if you want)

Just wondering if there's any changes/additions to the harder to get hold of games already mentioned in this thread? I know a few of the prices have changed (more expensive in some cases ) and I've already got a few of the more desireable titles as well (Panzer Dragoon Saga, Shining Force 3 for example). I've got 52 games so far, so still a fair amount for me to get. Thanks in advance for any info.

And I'll be back to contribute a bit more to the forum as well...last time I was here was over nearly 3 years ago (sorry!)

It's pretty much the same as it was I think a few of the harder to get games were not mentioned but most were covered.

Truth be told Panzer Dragoon Saga and Shining Force 3 are quite comman titles you just have to pay the money for them.

I myself am about 18 games away from a full set and the last few are proving very hard to track down. I would be closer if I used ebay but it will take you some years to get them all.

I completed my pal ss collection but only on the rarity 3,4 and 5s according to the ss website. I have most of the 1s and 2s but always concentrated on the rarer ones. The others always came with bundles i'd bought over time.

                            Anyways.....

Hebereke's poppoito was really difficult to find, as were pinball grafitti and maximum force (even though the website classes the latter as mere rarity 4s).
