I'm in two minds with Jap stuff to be honest. Whilst I love my shooters (pretty sure I have every proper shooter on DC now) I'd rather go for the English option every time. I can certainly see the appeal of going for a complete mega drive set for example, but would never buy games that I couldn't understand, seems pointless to me.

On the other hand I'm going for a complete set of PAL DC games which i imagine to some here is equally pointless

Well my Mega CD collection consists of all three regions as I try to get the Japanese version if possible as they look so much sexier, and I go for the US or PAL version if there is a language barrier.

I'm one of those crazy f*ckers who is happy to play through an RPG in Japanese and not understand a single dicky bird.

that actually seems quite interesting

i know hee haw about the Mega cd stuff, i tried to buy up some JPN stuff, but only got about 30 items before i decided that i was moving away from stuff megadrive

just love some of the more shallow games, its like a guilty secret

i love road avenger, cobra command and time gal or to the die hard JPN nutters amongst us Road blaster FX, thunderstorm FX and time gal

favorite game on the system was Switch! (Panic!) but it was released on the PStwo so that filled that void

Got a loft full of them at the parents including some shooty's like Salamander & R-type
Think I have almost all of Capcom/US Gold's releases too lol

I love my Mega CD , have over 140 games for the system .
I think the Pal Mega Cd cases, are with out a shadow of a doubt the best gaming cases for any system (just a shame about some of the western art used onthe cover) .
Brilliant system , 2nd only to the Saturn imo


IMO it doesn't get any better than Batman Returns, Lunar and Switch , gaming perfection , that as still as playable today . In fact I doubt think the driving sections of Batman will ever age , much like OutRun (Arcade) .
It's high time Mr John O' Brien got far more credit , for what he did on the humble MD and Mega CD It's up there with the like of Treasure got out of the Mega Drive , or Dave with Aladdin
