    Smiliar titles to Snatcher/Policenauts

Well after playing through Snatcher again and the newly translated Policenauts i'm kinda hungry for more games in a similar kind of style. I've played the first Phoenix Wright and enjoyed it so will have to pick up a DS again for the rest, but in the meantime is there anything along the same lines on other formats i might like?

Got the usual available - Saturn, PSX, MD, MCD, PC Engine CD, SFC, GBA etc

    Cheers!

Very few of that style game were ever translated into English, and I'm struggling to think of any retro examples. There are loads on DS (Time Hollow, Lux Pain etc...) but they're nowhere near as good as the Kojima examples.

Sorry, that's not much help is it?

Rise of The Dragon is just as good as Snatcher imo . And bar colour , the Mega CD port is every bit as good as the PC version .

        A overlooked classic

Cobra: The Space Adventure for the Mega CD is kind of like Snatcher in its interface. It's much more limited though as it's one of the very few Japanese 'digital comics' to have been translated.

Not direct comparisons, but similar in that vain. You could always try out the lucasarts games. Sam & Max Hit the Road, Day of the Tentacle, Full Throttle, Indiana Jones: Fate of Atlantis etc. Aswell Beneath a Steel Sky and the Broken Sword series by revolution. All on PC, can play them on the DS and other systems as SCUMM has been ported to a load of platforms.

there was an import megadrive game way back similar in play style to policenaughts/snatcher but i cant for the life of me remember the name of it or who it was developed by and all i seem to remember of it was that at the beginning of the game you were sent to either an abandoned looking space station or a satelite, one half of the screen was taken up with the graphics whilst the bottom half of the screen was the text/icons.

Really interested in getting this so I read a little about the different versions. Can anyone suggest if this is worth getting on the mega cd for the voice acting? Leaning towards sega version at the moment because trying to get old pc games workinn on windows 7 I imagine will be troublesome.

I would say Parappa the Rapper is much smiliar compared to Snatcher/Policenauts. Everyone's smiling all the time in that game.

Hang on, I've misread the title of this thread

Voice acting really makes the game , and the voice acting is extremely well done too. Like I say , right up there with Snacther

Not on the Mega CD. It was released for the Amiga over here IIRC.

Theres a digital comic called Bionic Heart which has a Cyber Punk theme like Snatcher, i've only briefly played the demo today but it seems pretty decent for an indie game.

You can get it for Windows/Linux/Mac, full game is ?12.99, demo's for each OS are on the official site as well.

                          Official Site
