Writing saves to a PS1 Memory Card

Just wondering how you guys do it?

Is there a utility disc you can burn (with the save games) thats bootable by a chipped PS1? Or is there some hardware that does the job for you?

Need to know so I can get writing some Pocketstation games onto my new purchase!

There used to be a device called dexdrive that linked to your pc & you plugged your memcard into the dexdrive box then used the software that came with it to copy saves to & from the card.

There are discs that do it too as i got one in my playstation 10th anniversairy book where it was full of completed saves that it would transfer to your memcard. In fact theres 2 disks one for ps1 & one for ps2.

Thanks Jason, DexDrive was the keyword I was looking for!

Quick question, any idea if the PS3 USB Memory Card reader can perform write actions on a PC?

Nevermind! Lock her up, i found a way.

For anyone who is interested, this is how I did it:

        1: Download save file
2: Use PSXGameEdit to save tjhe file as a single game save
3: Use PSXRC (PSX Raw Converter) to convert the save to a Raw PS1 Save
4: Boot up ULaunchElf on the PS2
5: Copy the Raw save onto a Memory Stick/Camera Memeory Card and plug it into the USB slot in the PS2
6: Browse to the Save file on the memory stick and press R1, select copy
7: Browse to the desired Memory Card, open it, on the root press R1 and select mcPaste

Done Time to play some Pocketstation games!!

My last post in this thread, i swear. Feel free to lock it up afterwards.

Just to add to the last post, I wrote a more detailed blog post on the method above with pictures illustrating each step.
