Dreamcast divers, how ?? could i get for mine

Thought i'd stick this in it's own topic and get my sega divers 2000 dreamcast pre-sale a bit more viewing and get some helpful advice .

Here are the pictures i posted on the " Post every time you get ANYTHING retro."thread ,at the time of me receiving it from japan-games http://ntsc-uk.domino.org/showpost.p...postcount=8394

This will have to be a collection only ,non ebay sale ,letting me keep all of what i can get, instead of having fees taken out by paypal and ebay,as it's all due to the old guy and his recent health problems,my cat zac ,who's been back and fourth to his vet and the emergency vet ,so needs must i'm afraid !

What i'll do is stick it in the sale thread on here and maybe stick it up on retro gamer ,but what i need advice on is gauging what price i can look to set/get for it? and can anyone recommend some websites that will also be interested in the divers ,dreamcast ,sega et all ,uk sites or ones with a good amount of uk members/collectors ?

I will probably have to stick the divers up in about 1 or 2 weeks, as it's all based on how well zac does on the treatment he's getting at the moment, and i'll take some new pictures of the divers to show the minty condition it is still in,surprisingly it's rarely been used !

And i'm down at newcastle upon tyne.

I'd say £250-ish. Although if you're only offering collection you're gonna be hard pushed to find a buyer without going to eBay. eBay prices are inflated anyway so you can easily stick another £100-150 on that £250 to cover the fees.

I have a mate heading up to Newcastle this weekend and I may well be interested in this. Can pay cash on collection, any pics of it working?

Those confusing and fleecing ebay fees are what's giving me the head ache, along with wading through all the "how to sell on ebay ",simple and not in the least bit confusing to a first time seller

For a price as low as £250 ,ebay free, it's just a non starter ,considering it's in the uk, no risk or waiting for over seas delivery of it (like i had to )and no customs /VAT /royal mail charges on top of what's already been paid to get it flown here by insured airmail.

And the amount paid in petrol to hop down to mine is next to nothing to have this divers in your hands straight away,(flickering side LED goodness) compare this to finding another one for sale, in the uk ,chances are none, the alternative is going to have to be overseas searching for any willing buyer, something a dreamcast collector will take into account,so i'm thinking of sticking about a £400 tag on it,IF i have to sell it,which will be around the 2 week mark.

Hope i didn't sound like i'm coming across as ,just i know of only two sellers of these divers on ebay, japan-games and rklok ,both none uk sellers.

I'll get some pics taken, also showing the gunge free pad ,remote, keyboard etc ,to show that there is no congealed sweat around the buttons and such, which is what you'd expect to see if it's never really been played on,more of a show piece!

It also has a step down ,500 watt one and not a cheap n chatty type, and it's capable of playing ntsc-u and pal games ,not just ntsc-j !
