Bought! That will save me about NOK100 (roughly ?10) on each issue instead of buying it from a newsagent

It will obviously be a lot better on the iPad, but it's still pretty good quality, and a great saving if you're an overseas reader.

          Goddit.

          Very nice interface.

          Obviously like the content.

Agreed though that it's more for the ipad.

I wonder what format the magazines are in? When you zoom in on the pages you can see compression artifacts around text sometimes. I was expecting it to be PDF based but it's more likely to be JPEG I would think.
Still it's a good app that will save a few quid on the cover price each month and if done properly will be brilliant on the iPad.

Okay having tried it I'm somewhat disappointed. PixelMags' software seems to be really unoptimized, as the app is unresponsive and slow on my 3G. I really shouldn't need the additional power of a 3GS just to read a magazine :/

Brilliant, really impressed with this and I can see myself buying a few issues Darran. Now, if only there was a Chuckie Egg special on the way it would probably be a subscription.

It does feel far too cramped on the iPhone though but I can imagine things like this are fantastic on the iPad. Any chance of it being accessible directly via Mac/PC in the future as that would be perfect?

The only real downside was this...

Horrayyyyy! I am so fed up paying kr100-150 (?10-?15) on magazines.

                      Brilliant news.
