    Ultimate Megadrive Collection on 360

    Hi, folks!
Haven't found much of a thread on this one, which surprises me so it must be crap. I've read about the achievements and they're disappointing, but there's something I'd like to know that could be a deal maker or breaker.
I'm asking this in the retro section because I'm sure I'll get the desired technical response from the folk in here that are fussy fussy fussy like me!
Megadrive Collection specifically on the 360: How is the sound emulation?
Is it good? Is it gorgeous and all sounds are accurate, Sonic's jump sound is correct and not a crappy blewp and the Streets of Rage sub-bass is dirty?
Or is it a massive bodged mess of terrible emulation?
Is the rate up at 44.1khz or at Megadrive level? (Not fussed either way on that score but it'd be nice).
I'm considering buying it for convenience purposes to see if I can convince my gf that there are some quality retro games about. And so that I don't have to dig my Megadrive out just yet.
    Cheers!

It seems OK to me, much better than the sound emulation on DC Sega Smash Pack, the Sonic jump noise seems spot-on (though bear in mind I'm playing it via a monitor that has slightly crappy speakers, I don't have a fantastic sound setup).

I'm going to soon, but this is more convenient and she's a 360 girl. I'll have to reel her in with the deep south pervy old man voice in Zoom

For anyone who is interested and finds this in the future, the sound emulation is excellent and I believe they may have upped the sample rate in the emulation.
It does get on my tits why they insist with compilations in putting a crap border around games, though. And screen size adjustment but no screen position adjustment, so I'm left with a strip of background down the right hand side on a proper telly.
Having player 2 join in is also needlessly a headache, as is Sega's usual "select the device every time you do anything" policy.
Other than that, it's good enough and saves me getting my Megadrive out for a while.

^It's a cracking compilation but WHY no Shadow Dancer - again? I know when they released that PS2 Megadrive compilation, it *was* in the US version, but removed from the EU version so the age rating could be lower.

I mean, you've got Altered Beast (both versions) and Shinobi 3, both of which feature gore. It's really disappointing, though not disappointing enough not to buy the compilation.

Imagine, if they'd stuck MD Shadow Dancer and the arcade version as an unlockable (like they did with arcade Shinobi), this would have been the Ultimate Shinobi Collection, as well!

I'd love it if they made a sequel, but crammed in loads more Sega coin-ops, fingers crossed n' all that.
