Any sealed game I've owned has quickly been torn open or sold for profit to a moron.

Sealed collecting is not my thing either, nor is collecting in general. These days I buy solely to play.

Yup, my days of game collecting are far gone, I can appreciate my love for a game without owning a mint copy of it. For example I have a beat up cart of super mario world yet its one of my favourite games ever. I could probably sell all of my neogeo stuff too and still have a massive appreciation for the system, as well as a lot of good memories. I'm more a 'play good games and when you get bored of them, sell them on' person nowadays.

Never had more than 100 games at one point anyway really, and they would be games I play pretty much.

I think there are plenty of people here who do collect, but they tend to go for complete collections, rather than sealed collections. It would be painful for me to own so many games that I couldn't play, like leaving a meal in front of a starving man and sewing his mouth shut... or something like that.

VGA have been discussed here before, and are generally viewed with... disdain

Complete collections inevitably means buying terrible games and not playing them, seems pointless to me. I'd rather spend the money on games I'd play. Why complete a collection for something anyway? I just don't get it anymore.

I've got tons of stuff I've never even booted, I should probably stop collecting.

I play Third Strike on GGPO 90% of the time I'm playing video games. :/

I had to restrain myself after seeing those slabs! I hear collectors are quite anal at times, but you would think that if you were collecting Sealed PAL-UK SNES stuff you would do it correctly? Wtf is with the NES rubbish!?

I have some sealed stuff, but only sealed versions of games I have/had and played or something I have yet to get round to.
As for VGA I'd hazard a guess they would grade anything you send them!
