It's exaxtcly the same as the jpn standalone release, however some extras are missing- combat school for one, can't remember if there's any others? Main game is the same though.

Nice bump post! Reminded me I wanted to play this so will fire up the Wii version later today
Would be better with a Classic Controller mind, the GC pad or Wiimote setup never feel quite right as I like the precision of a decent D-pad.

Good to hear, I might go for the 'collection' version then. I remember the standalone release looking brilliant (no dodgy graphics filters or anything) and just wanted to make sure the version in the collection was the same.

        Cheers

Quite frankly it's beyond me how anyone can survive without a modded 'box and a big f*ck-off stick. Looks great via component too.
ugh, interest piqued! have veered away this route for a while? finding a modded xbox won't be an issue, but what stick(s) would you guys recommend for an original xbox?

I thought the Hori cube pads could mimic the analogue anyway (or am I confusing them with the 360 fight pads :S)

Yes, the fightpad has a switch. Alas, the Hori pads don't.

Another option is to find an adaptor, eg PS2 -> GC.

It's a good job all hardware manufacturers aren't quite so literal as the Dual Shock would be quite uncomfortable to use otherwise.
