Can't believe I forgot the Masterful Viewtiful Joe.

(it has been mentioned by others, but I feel a fool, and rightly so, for my error)

It's good, but I prefer the GBA version.

No way. Not since Power Stone 2 have I had such good four-player fun. Can't understand the logic of a single-player-only version being more fun

I just feel it was perfectly suited to the GBA format, and it lost something in it's travel to the cube. Wasn't there less content on the GC version as well or does my memory fail me?

Um, erm.. alright you got me Never knew about that one.
I wrote that 4 years ago now, that get me off the hook?

SMB as the best game on the Cube I'm standing by though

Not when Penguin Land was also released for the Game Boy way back when

Mario Kart Double Dash is an essential. It's a fantastic game, and very unfairly under-rated by many nerds. Due to technical constraints it doesn't have the variety or online play of Mario Kart Wii, sure, but it's still unmissable if you are aiming to collect the best GC games.

Super Monkey Ball is a work of genius, but it's sequels don't have any of the the same magic, so you're best off with just the original.

I don't think Strider would find that suitable for his current gaming needs, but, yes. The best of the three AC games, and almost certainly the most-played piece of software for the Gamecube.

If you have a GC and have not played this you need to look into it.

                    Animal Crossing e+ (J)
                    F-Zero GX
                    Super Mario Sunshine
The Legend of Zelda - The Wind Waker
                    PSO 1&2

Heard they are good, bought but still not played:
                    Baten Kaitos
                    Tales of Symphonia
                    Metal Gear Solid: Twin snakes
                    Killer 7
Chibi Robo (have played the Wii re-release though)

The cube is my favourite console of all time. Some ace games are:
                      1. Wind Waker
                      2. Sunshine (surprised this hasn't been mentioned a lot, not as good as 64 or galaxy but still easily within the top 10 games of the last gen)
                      3. WarioWorld (Treasure developed platformer that had its issues but I really enjoyed it)
                      4. Paper Mario (How has this not been mentioned yet?? easily within the top 5 cube games for me)
                      5. Battalion Wars
                      6. Starfox Adventures (not what I was hoping for in a lylat wars sequel but still quite good)
                      7. Animal Crossing
                      8. Super Smash Bros Melee (This game is a must. As much as I love brawl, this is better, and probably has taken more hours of my life than any other game)
                      9. WarioWare (The same as the gba one but with multiplayer, making it infinitely better)
                      10. SoulCalibur 2 (Best of the series + Link!)
                      11. Geist (I don't know how more people didn't love this game. had its issues but made up for it with some very original and entertaining ideas)
                      12. Killer 7

I can't count so that list is ok. There are plenty more worth looking into and even more I haven't played.

                        Exclusives only?
If not why the hell hasn't beyond good and evil been mentioned

                        1 - Resident evil 4
                        2 - REmake
                        3 - Viewtiful Joe
                        4 - PN03
                        5 - Zelda: Windwaker
                        6 - Smash Bros Melee
                        7 - soul calibur 2
8 - beyond good and evil
                        9 - Super Monkey ball
                        10 -kirbys air ride

                        I love the cube! <3

                        Other honourable mentions:
                        Animal crossing
                        doshin the giant
Mario party 4 (fun with friends)
                        Zelda: Twilight princess.

Nice to see all the GC love going on. It's probably my favourite console as well, if only because of the disks!

                            The lack of...

Paper Mario: The Thousand Year Door - best game on the system for me
                            Eternal Darkness
                            Beyond Good and Evil

..is a shame. Hang your heads.
