    Feda and Langrisser series

Anyone played any of the Feda or Langrisser games? I'm currently interested in both but I'm not sure where to start.

Can anyone tell me which is the best game in each series, and which is the most import friendly? I don't care about story, just need a battle system that's easy to play without knowing Japanese.

As far as Langrisser goes, your best bet is probably to start off with Warsong as it's in English.

        Hay Ash,

As a tactical RPG fan, I'd recommend both of these series to you. If you want to give FEDA a shot I'd suggest playing the SNES version of the first one and if you like it then get the ace Saturn remake! Not played the PS sequel but I'm sure it's a top game. The Climax artist for the first FEDA game is also the same guys who did the art for the original shining force and darkness.

Combat is like the same as shining force, but the game has a really interesting good or evil system. Which is mainly based on if you kill enemies or not and rescuing people and team mate when they get captured. It takes a little while to get used to so check out a few of the FAQs to understand how the game work.

Langrisser is top stuff and I'd recommend the Saturn pack with all five games in it. Warsong as mentioned by the others is a good idea to get the feel of the series, but it is a little dated and the remake is much better.
There are lots of faqs for the series over at gamefaqs as the later ones have branching routes and storyline. The final three on the Saturn are just fantastic games and massive too!

Dreamcast one is ok, it plays like shining force unlike the previous games but a lot of the fans hate it due to the changes in the combat system and it wasn't made by the original team.

Thanks for the impressions. I think I'll go for the Saturn remake of Feda as the visuals seem quite nice. Just have to find it now as few places seem to stock it.

Is the story in Warsong any good? If so, I'll get that but, if not, I might as well go for one of the sequels. I'd heard that the Dreamcast game was unpopular but if it's more like Shining Force, as you say, then I think I can live with that.
