Fatal Fury 3 is an awesome though hard game, though I think that engine got refined in the original Real Bout. I feel that those 2 partner each other and then you have RBS & RB2.

Garou I can pass on, a few cool BG's (with a few ropey ones, the Casino ewww), plays a good game but it's no RBS.

My memories of Sengoku 3 are that the main character sprites were amazing, but the enemies were bland and repeated level after level and only changing in colour. Didn't like it at all if I remember rightly, really loved the second one though.

Yeah, sengoku 3 is a bit like that, its a pity because its not too bad otherwise, but after a while you get pretty bored.

Sengoku 2's good, but nothing can test with Burning Fight. Blatant rip off of Final Fight and the animation's ****e but its loads of fun.

Best Neo Geo game is Blazing Star. Awesome graphics and wonderful scoring "hook".

I can't handle the garish green and pink cg sprites in Blazing Star, imo Pulstar has much more style, different type of play though.

Burning Fight though, it's just one of the best.....NOICE CHOIZ!

My favourite shmup on the neo is aero fighters 2 just because of its humour. Theres a lot of great games on the system though, as well as a lot of crap/dated ones or just plain SF2 clones.

Even the crap ones have their charm. Robo Army and Ninja Combat are crap but entertaining nontheless. Just remembered, Nam 75 is a f*cking class game.

The only problem with the side scrollers are palette swap enemies....they do not count as new ones! Mutation Nation is heinous for that, wicked though.

Last resort is the number one NEO shooter for me, it just seems timeless and still looks brilliant. Absolutely crap ending mind you, always hated only being rewarded with a bit of text on completion. Pulstar is class, and that sicko end boss is mad looking. Blazing star is probably the flashiest. EDIT: Oh, and alpha mission II and andro dunos are ****e, but viewpoint is also a classic.

Side scrollers on the NEO are just ace, and I totally agree about burning fight, despite the fact it get's almost universally dissed!

I'm surprised no-one has mentioned soccer brawl yet, or did I miss it?
