I can't see anything made from the PS2 onwards ever being really collectable. Manufacturers don't take the crazy risks that companies like SNK did and most consoles are too successful to end up like the Saturn. Also, the proliferation of retro downloads and compilation disks caters for a lot of people's retro needs.

I think Japanese Gamecube can be a pretty attractive system for collectors, not only because of the nice boxes. There were many obscure games in Japan plus the system wasn't that popular...
