Not really racer's per se, but Spyhunter is a top-down fave of mine. Also Sega's Up n' Down, was a cool isometric car game.

Has anyone tried Reckless Racing on the iPad?

Yeah, its 'alright' but there isn't much of a single player to it.

No mention of Moto Roader on the PC Engine.

I used to love this game. Five players at once and the ability to upgrade the car. Looks pretty dated now (it is about 20 years old i guess)

I'm late to this thread, but WHAT!! I've kept it on the shelf hoping to play it again one day (and I've only kept about 3 XB1 games). This will be going on later today

I think it's only Mashed Fully Loaded that's 360 compatible, not the first game.

                          Great 1000 Miles Rally
: An awesome arcade racer with stunning visuals.

Bad Lands: A really nice racer with a very distinct look and vibe.

Mashed: As other people have said - it's a game that deserved more success and proper sequels, because it's the perfect modern top-down racer. I've had lots of multiplayer fun with it over the years.

Super Off Road: I used to play it a lot on the SNES, because it looks nice and has really fun gameplay.

Nitro: I have vague memories of playing this on the Amiga and enjoying it.

RC Pro Am: It's very simple, but one of the best NES racers. The Mega Drive version is almost exactly the same, but with more detailed visuals.

Rock 'n Roll Racing: I played this on the SNES quite a bit. It has nice visuals, good music, and the commentator adds to the excitement.

I used to play it years ago on my C64 (done by US Gold me thinks), really fun little game at the time

Has no one mentioned Spy Hunter as yet? Other fave's of mine have mostly been mentioned, those being Super Off Road, Super Sprint (arcade version, massive cab!!) Super Cars 1 & 2 (this is neeeded on live) and Rock N Roll Racing on which me and a friend of mine would spend hrs leveling up on (I'm sure he used to cheat!!)

                            Oh and anyone remember this....

(sorry for just putting the link, could a mod please pop the right bit in the brackets so it displays properly as I'm not sure what to put!!, cheers)

                            Aw the music .

All in all what a great genre and one that's pretty sorely underrepresented now.

Press go advanced and hit the youtube tag and then put c_Dur9GC_f4 in between the tags.
