PAL NES Games on a Famicom

Just got hold of a Nes to Famicom converter and was wondering if PAL games will work correctly on a Famicom or will there be timing issues etc. I'm wanting to get hold of a copy of Battle Formula but finding that a bit hard to find at present so was thinking of getting the western version Super Spy Hunter instead, would be easier getting the PAL version if it will work fine otherwise i'll go for the US version.

Yes there will be timing issues on some games.
