Uk sites that sell consolized MVS?

Hi, are there any sites in the uk that sell consolized MVS pre-made kits, or sites that stock parts to build one.

    Looking forward to the replies,
    Daniel.

Does this 'MVS ready' supergun count? I have an AES but have never played MVS at home before so not that clued up on that side of things.

MVS ready supergun could imply that it supports 4 and 6 slot Neo Geo - only single slot use the regular JAMMA interface.

Consolised wise, best get a single slot and pop to maplin.

Better than those people charging £500+ for a single slot.

Cheers for the Link Neil, I was looking at an AES system on the bay, for around the same price as that silver MVS.

That's a nice one slot in that vid. When I get home tomorrow I'm definitely playing some last blade too!

It's really easy to consolize an MVS with only minimal soldering skills - get an MVS-2F with built in memory slot and joystick ports for £50 or less and the parts (power supply, wire, scart plug, DIN socket only cost another £20).

There are loads of guides on the 'net. Really pleased how mine turned out - the pics don't show the finished thing on a polished acrylic base but it looks great. I ended up leaving the cover unpainted as I liked the original 'industrial' look but satin black would make it look more finished.

I used a PC power supply which is fine for a 2 slot but as Kern knows a switchable Jamma PS is better and essential for a 4 slot.

Even easier than consolizing the board is to build a very simple supergun - all you need is a Jamma loom, scart plug and power supply - again about £25 in total. The MVS-2F has joystick ports built in so simply wire the Jamma loom to the power supply, the RGB and sound to the Scart and you are done. Also add the momentary buttons for test, select and credit. Also by wiring in a couple of D sockets into the loom for standard NG controllers (as on the board) you can use the SG with any normal Jamma board too. Only issue is to use a MVS-Jamma converter or re-route a couple of wires to sort the slight MVS-Jamma changes if using it purely for MVS.

Here is a pic of the simple Jamma SG loom that I made to utilise the MVS power supply, scart lead and NG stick. The sockets are not needed if you want to keep it really simple. The left hand round DIN goes to the Scart lead, the middle D plug is for a NG controller, the right hand XLR goes to the power supply. You need to add test/credit buttons too.

If you are just doing this for MVS then you don't need the D plug and the power supply and round DIN can also go straight to power and Scart. I used sockets as my consolized MVS uses the same hard wired sockets. For MVS as above you will need to switch a couple of wires to correct the Jamma-MVS slight differences.

I always thought that an RGB amp was necessary?

What for a supergun? no sir. Or consolized MVS actually.

Oh wow, that was the only component that was putting me off building one a while back. Might have to get me a £35 MVS and £15 of parts.
