Does a Japanese super game boy work on a us Snes?

Just like all other super famicom cartridges, it should work as long as you remove the tabs from the inside of the cart slot that prohibit insertion of foreign cartridges (or alternatively remove the top half of the SNES casing, use a passthrough cart like an action replay or insert the super game boy PCB into the system without its casing). As Game boy games are region free, you can play cartridges from any region with it. Before you buy anything, you should also consider the super game boy 2, which seems to be cheap, readily available and has some bonuses like a link cable port.
