SCART scaler to HDMI 1080p + SLG3000... would it work?

Hi everyone,

After seeing Mr-Niceguy2001's post (http://www.bordersdown.net/showthrea...-picture-heavy) I started wondering if the SLG3000 would work with my current setup.

I just bought a Saturn and a Mega Drive, both japanese, and this Scaler on eBay:



The output is HDMI, so maybe I could use one of these...


...plug an SLG3000 at the end of it and get a nice scaled image with scanlines.

Do you think it will work? Does anyone have a similar setup? It would be great if I can use the scaler I already have and I don't have to buy a new, expensive one (even if it's probably the best one out there).

It wouldn't work because HDMI doesn't carry an analog signal.

Keep in mind that the SLG needs a VGA input and outputs VGA only. Arcadeforge also sells the Sync Strike which works as a SCART-to VGA adapter and a cheap scaler that should work without problems with both SLG and Sync Strike.
