AV Famicom or Top Loader NES - Video Quality?

Which of the two outputs the best composite video: a modified NES2 or a standard AV Famicom? Specifically for use with an XRGB Mini, unless anyone can suggest a cheaper Composite-VGA/Component/HDMI converter that's going to do the job just as well on a 19" 4:3 LCD.

Also, converter carts.... Do all NES-Famicom converters have the NES cart facing backwards? What's the deal with doing it the other way round; will the Famicom cart be facing forward on a NES2?

I've heard the NES 2 has some problems with vertical lines appearing, but I don't know if that is fixed with the composite mod.
I never saw any such problems on my AV Famicom.

I think most convertors have the game placed backwards (the one I have does this), but I've seen pictures of ones that work the other way too. I'd much prefer one of these too, but finding any adapter for a decent price was hard enough.

    Here's the one I've seen: http://www5b.biglobe.ne.jp/~g-take/sid172466bb.jpg
The shop that that picture is from doesn't seem to have any.

I recently imported an av modded famicom and on some games I'm experiencing a lot of vertical lines.

On others it seems not so much but that might be because of dark backgrounds.

Just to clarify, this was an original Famicom with an AV mod, not an actual AV Famicom?
