Swap Magic For PS2

Hi Guys...

May I ask what Swap Magic I am looking to buy for a Slim PAL PS2...

I will pick up a NTSC-J System at some point, But thought I'd ask about swap magic.

Its for affordability at the moment..

I don't think you can use swap magic on Slim consoles as swap magic is all about manually opening the disc drawer without using the eject button.

For a slim machine you'll need a modchip.

You have to bridge the lid switches, or use the tools that come with certain Swap Magic discs.

Lots of use of Swap MAgic will break the drive slider on the old PS2. And its fiddly as hell

Mod Chip is a much better option

To use it properly on a slim you need to replace the lid side of the console with a specially adapted lid like this...

It means you can lift the lid without pressing the button.

I'll try getting a modded ps2 unit, will probably be easier for now. Thanks for help guys

Those third party lids look gross though, you might as well not use a lid.
