Famicom game recommendations?

As many will know from the retro purchases thread, I recently took delivery of an AV Famicom. I don't however, have many quality games for it. So far I have:

Nekketsu Soccer & Dodgeball
Captain Tsubasa 1 & 2
Namco Classic 1 & 2
Wagyan Land 2
Earthbound Zero(In the post)

And a few various bits & bobs, nothing worth writing home about.

What sure fire Japanese classics should I be on the look out for? So far on my list, I have:

Wanpaku Duck Yume Bouken
Kyattou Ninden Teyandee
Heracles no Eikou II(Translation)
Captain Tsubasa II(Translation)
Wagyan Land 1 & 3

Not a huge fan of old shooters and can't be arsed with wading through years of Japanese text on some impossible to play RPG! Platformers would be good!

And NO ROCKMAN! The series sucks!

I'll give Splatterhouse a go I reckon, last time I owned it I don't remember enjoying it too much.

Is Buckly O'Hare playable in JP, or is there much text?

I've also been told that the Chip n Dale game is decent, any truth in that?

I loved the Chip & Dale game back in the day on my PAL NES one of my faves

Don't forget the Duck Tales titles as well they were great.

Darkwing Duck is well worth a purcahse too.

Infact a lot of the Disney titles were great little platfomers back then

Bucky O'Hare is a konami platform/run & gun so should be ok Japanese text wise

All the Capcom/Disney games were pretty great, i think Chip N Dale got a sequel as well

Bio Miracle Bokutte Upa is great but very pricey

Darkwing Duck is well worth a purcahse too.

This didn't get a release on the famicom. It's an awesome game though and you can play it with a convertor. But it is basically a re-skinned Megman, so I'm not sure if he'd like it.

Other suggestions:
Meta Fight (AKA Blaster Master)
Hitler No Fukkatsu (uncensored version of Bionic Commando)
Armadillo (Pretty fun platformer, can't save unless you buy a separate peripheral though)
King Kong 2 (top down action/adventure)
Kamen No Ninja Hanamaru (The game that became Yo! Noid on the NES)
Magical Taruruuto Kun (Awesome little platformer, there's a sequel too but that didn't seem to have the charm of the original)
Nemo: Pyjama Hero (AKA Little Nemo: The Dream Master)

What else folks? My Famicom knowledge is pretty poor. Some translated RPG's would be pretty cool, though no Final Fantasy or Dragon Quest.

Mr gimmick is a great platformer the music is amazing in it too.

Wagyan land is only recommended unless you know japanese enough to have a small vocabulary of words for objects/animals as the boss battles require you to know picture that starts with the letter been shown.

Non.

If you do this you end up sifting through stuff and never actually playing.
