Well, i've had time to sit and play some games on it today, and I have to say I absolutely love it!!! My PCE and NEO stuff just looks brilliant. Using the XRGB-2 with it to get scanlines makes it like having a whopping 40" 4:3 crt. I thoroughly recommend anyone who's in to their retro to pick one up.

didnt fancy the pioneer one as I'll bet my XRGB + VX300 does a similar job, if not better... I did however buy that Sony BVM-20F1U Pricey but I bet it'll be quite stunning!
Cheers Speedy!

Lovely thread.
You know what the sad thing is though? Those of us who appreciate a good CRT set-up, with the RGB SCART and other inputs, are the tiny minority. I wonder if in 20 years time we'll be like those people who still use vinyl. Could there be a resurgence in CRT for retro gaming? Will there be a way to emulate the look of true CRT visuals on modern HD TVs?
Or is what we were are experiencing now purely fleeting, to be talked about in the history books. I feel like an aged whale hunter, seeing the old ways fade away.
