There was a recall on DS CFC and they sent out replacements. I guess it's pot luck which you get now though if you buy secondhand.

There was a sequel on the NGPC too. Japan release only, but there is a translated version out there.

Yeah, you can tell the difference between the carts. I believe the background imagery on the revised cart label is in monochrome, whereas the faulty ones are in colour. I may have that the wrong way around though. This only applied in the USA; the game was released in such tiny numbers in the UK that I doubt anyone has ever checked.

I believe the revised card does have a "-1" on the end of the product code. I'd have to go recheck.

The translated CFC2 on the NGPC is what flash cards were made for heh...

Indeed. Although despite being completely obsessed with the first CFC, I still haven't got round to playing the sequel.

As I said before, I can't bring myself to pay so much for a Flash Cart when the games on the NGPC are so cheap. I've bought the best dozen games on the machine (including some of the more uncommon stuff like Faselei) for less than the price of one.

Are flash carts expensive now then?

You could easily play CFC2 on an emu anyway (eg on a PSP) if you were desperate to play it

I always loved Gals Fighters but I was never able to buy a PAL UK boxed copy, I could only ever find loose carts.

                Great game!

No surprise, along with Cotton and The Last Blade it was among the last boxed games that were made available for the machine before it abruptly disappeared from UK shelves for the recall.

It's a real shame that Nintendo didn't follow suit with the boxes for the Game Boy Advance like SNK with the NGPC in the UK. The boxes for NGPC games are wonderful little things.
