    NES 60Hz?

Wasnt sure where to post this but here goes. Ive decided to get into collecting NES games as although the VC on the Wii is great its still missing some big games (the main ones being Dragon Warrior, games by Rare, the Capcom Disney games and the Sunsoft games). After doing some research Ive found out that, unlike nearly all other cartridge based consoles, you cannot mod the PAL nes to run games in 60Hz. Now before doing this research I had already bought a few PAL NES games, so I was wondering if I bought a US NES and do the multi-region mod would that run the PAL games in 60Hz?

Yes it will, but unlike the mega drive many of the games won't take too kindly to the refresh rate. You may get graphical glitching.

This is why I went 100% US with my nes collection.. the console and box art for the games is identical in most cases anyway so it's win win! I despise the US snes boxes though and stick to pal for those..

Ok back on topic.. you would be better off getting US games as they are just as cheap as pal in most cases..how many titles do you own so far if any?

Was the speed based on the console hardware? Like, playing NTSC games on a region free PAL NES will run at 50hz?
