Super Famicom RGB Scart Cable

Ive got a super famicom here but i have no RGB scart cable for it , what options do i have for getting one as i know a PAL snes cable does not work ?

I bought a few GameCube RGB Scart cables that were advertised as working with the GameCube, N64 and SNES, and they deliver the best RGB picture I've seen from all three machines. I got them off Ebay a couple of years ago, but they were boxed( I forget the brand ) , so hopefully that Ebay lead will work fine.

Don't be mislead by "fully wired" cables. The official cable isn't fully wired and neither will that one be.

Either way, any new cable is fine.

@Leon Ahoy!: Apparently there are around 4 different types of PAL SNES. Certain machines have different video circuits meaning that a stock PAL GC cable will work fine on them. I experience my display fading to black when used with the PAL SNES currently in my possession which is a 2PPU unit. I know some are the "1CHIP" design which also supposedly have superior video so it's a bit hit or miss regarding what will work regarding PAL SNES at least.

If you can, component mod it, I did mine last week.
Much better than the RGB for LCD and plasma screens.

The issue will have been with your LCD display for sure. There's absolutely no reason that composite will look better than RGB SCART.

You can get composite out of a PAL SNES via the AV multi too.

Ill give one of those "fully" wired cables ago , i can always mod it if needed but hopefully its plug and play

Don't be fooled by the cheap composite RCA lead I used for testing

I forgot to mention that I use the leads with my Super Famicom and USA Super Nintendo. I have never used a PAL SNES.

That component mod is interesting, but I get a really nice image through RGB scart on my LCD. I need to buy a CRT at some point, as you can't beat a good Sony Trinitron for retro gaming.

So too recapitulate:
Super famicom and snes RGB cables are not the same . but Super famicom and Pal NGC RGB cables are the same ? And I just discovered that a JPN NGC is RGB incompatible. I thought mine was broken but it appears it just needs an composite cable (my scart switch doesn't auto switch between RGB or composite) . WTF dudes this is complicated!
