Is there a disc or device I can buy for the Japanese Mega CD which will allow me to play UK and US discs?

You can change the region bios of your Mega CD with the Everdrive MD

Yep, as Jamie said, either that or a Datel CDX if you can find one.

The alternative would be a Multi BIOS mod, Then you could switch between all three regions.
mmmokey sorted out my Japanese Mega CD a few years back. Really nice mod, no external switches, its all controlled from the Megadrive reset switch.

I bought a Tototek Megacart years back and it works a treat. Should be cheaper than the Everdrive if its just the region change feature you're interested in.

+1 for the Tototek Mega Cart. 'tis a really useful bit of kit for any MCD owner.

Another vote for Everdrive here. It's just so easy - load the bios file as if it were a rom, and it will load up and you can insert whatever region disc. You can even download a multi-region bios.
