I'm currently working on giving each English club three updated backgrounds. I know they're just photos but they really add to the mood when playing. I'm taking my time to find the absolute best shots of each ground; two on matchdays (trying for one daytime, one evening), and one from outside the park entrance.

      Legend!!! Thank you.

Loved the CM2 games and played them for hours on end on my Pentium 166. More often than not with a friend where we'd each take a prem team but agree not to be Man Utd. Tried to like CM3 onwards but never got on with them.

Was going to ask how to play them but then just spotted the bit about DOS Box above.

CM 01/02 was the best in the original Eidos/SI series - everybody knows that. I still have my copy!

Patches and updates for classic CM are nothing new - they've been around for years. www.champman0102.co.UK is the main place for new updates/patches.

FM is a fine game but there's way too much detail and depth to it. Classic Eidos/SI CM had just the right amount of depth and detail.

          I reckon I'll give 01/02 a look in after I've done a few seasons on 97/98. I stopped playing after 97/98.

I think it'll take me around a month to finish off these backgrounds.

Although I'm not fussed about football, and even less about watching numbers change about football, I understand your pain.

I want to play Roller Coaster Tycoon on my tablet, but getting the classic versions, 1 and 2, working is a bit of a nightmare.
I was really excited to see it coming out on iPad, only to see it's awful.

It didn't help that I couldn't find the disc when I looked for it last night, but that's a different story.

I was looking into the classic RCT games before but I'd just missed a Steam sale by days so it put me off.

Changing these backgrounds is quite enjoyable, actually. I get to educate myself on football grounds and get treated to some good old images of Blighty whilst I'm at it.
