Definitely check out Battlesport and Killing Time. Battlesport's my favourite on the system - blisteringly smooth and fast 1st person hover tank sports game. Features a 2 player mode too. Killing Time is a really atmospheric FPS that looks great and also uses some rather novel FMV integration to tell the story.

Better than that you can get a HDD fitted in place of the CD drive too.

I didn't think those were available anymore, do you know who is doing them?

Eh I don't know about availablity currently but it certainly exists. Very expensive mod though.
