F-Zero is 60fps and SMK is not. F-Zero is much smoother.

Doesn't feel that way though. At least not now it doesn't.
F-Zero now looks graphically worse imo.

I don't find that at all. F-Zero is much smoother. It is bitty looking in places mind. SMK also is, especially on Bowsers Castle.
Still love both.

Not sure, but biggest disappointment is that the track editor in Climax can only be used for time trials or watching the computer race. You can't actually race against a load of opponents on your created tracks.
