i have a mint collection of Jap N64 titles, 40ish...and that's pushing it in regards to quality titltes. to have a full collection is just a waste, most of the remaining games are complete garbage so they'd be just sat on shelf collecting dust

when it comes to collecting, for me anyway, its all about getting the key games for that system and ones that you also like to play

I was a big fan of the N64 back in the day, because its best games were something special. If you have an RGB modded NTSC N64, the image quality is quite good. Thinking about the machine's good games, apart from a handful of great games that still stand up really well today, there are quite a few decent games overall. I'd guess there's about 30 N64 games that are still worth playing. I go back to Wave Race 64, Star Fox 64 and F-Zero X quite often..

Whilst I don't disagree with your general ethos, would you really play that whole list beyond 2 minutes of nostalgia?

I mean given, I'd love to play a bit of Fighters Destiny, but only for a minute or so. I certainly wouldn't want to play N64 versions of games like Quake or titles like Smash Bros that have seen so many updates.

If I had free time, then I would The first time I played Quake was on an N64.
