Well, CDZ is single speed cdrom with a more advanced head controller and better cache

Which is why is said not quite that about the speed of the drive, but it's way better than the original Cd models. But it only really matters on fighting games, which is half of the cd,s library about.

Yes the system is ace and the loading times are nowhere near as bad as some make out . The remixed soundtracks in the games are brilliant too .. Last Resort music is even better on the Neo CD

Early games are fine in terms of loading times.. Later big meg count fighting games are not worth it unless you really really love the machine and the game in question as they do take a long time to load.

As has been said, some games have superior CD re-arranged soundtracks, some of which sound amazing. There are a few exclusives on the machine as well, Crossed Swords 2 springs to mind.

The RGB on the machines is really good as well
