Had to google the history of what one. Wonder if they could manage similar improvements on the SNES, too?

A new N64 recompile is done to add to PC ports of Mario 64, Zelda OOT and Mystical Ninja 1. Now we have Starfox 64.

Compatibility: This mod is console compatible and I have tried to make it compatible with as many emulators as possible. Setups confirmed working: Console (Via Summercart, seems to be bugged on the ED x7) Parallel Launcher with Parallel (NEWEST VERSION ONLY AND ON PARALLEL CPU AND PARALLEL RDP ONLY) Luna's PJ64 with ANGLE GlideN, check "Enable Fragment Depth Write" PJ64 1.6 with ANGLE GlideN, check "Enable Fragment Depth Write" PJ64 modern with ANGLE GlideN, check "Enable Fragment Depth Write" Ares Currently not working: Simple64 - random crashes RMG - won't boot 1964 - won't boot Mupen - won't boot

I'm massively out of the loop of this stuff but is Supermodel still the best (only?) way of playing Sega Model 3 games? I did have it running on my old laptop but it was a bit janky from what I remember, probably due to my hardware more than anything else. I've got a new PC now and thought I'd give it another go.

Supermodel3 is still the only way to play MB3, runs very well on series S(dev mode, so X would work to) which was ported over late last year, which has all the analogue zones worked out for pads and steering wheels setup to. Otherwise it's abit more bother to run it on a decent PC making sure you have all the settings right.

Cheers Tobal. I don't have one of the current Xboxes so it'll have to be PC for now. Found this video which seems like a pretty straightforward guide to getting things set up, including getting things pre-configured for various different controllers etc:

Hmmm. Not sure what I'm doing wrong with the YouTube link?

IIRC just the youtube code (not full url) in youtube tags.

I have literally just been playing a bit of Scud Race on Supermodel and it runs great on PC. After faffing for years, I got a new PC 5 years ago now (now time for a new one anyway) and Supermodel runs fine, as does TeknoParrot, but different thread. After a long time spent ****ing around with Supermodel, I even found a frontend for it, which takes away some of the faff. All of that said, as above I recently spotted you can run all this on an Xbox and it'll work without the comparative ball-ache tweaking required on PC, so I's say that's the way to go. Getting things up and running on PC to a decent standard is now quicker and easier than it used to be though.

as it happens it appears a new frontend complete with netplay updates is out called Supermodel Dojo, it's still the supermodel emu but given a big polish up.

Thanks for that, Tobal. Just downloaded. Only tried Sega Rally 2 so far but seems to run perfectly on my set up.

Been a while since the N64 recompile projects started, with so few released (last release being Mystical Ninja 1), here is why in the video. Very interesting time coming up for native PC ports and some of those Majora Mask mods are fantastic like the live updating map.

Shouldn't recompiles be in their own seperate thread?
