Never played the 1st game, I loved the 2nd game and also remember falling in love with the women's voice used for the game's sampled speech lol. Was disappointed with part III, only to be amazed with IV. It looked like a Neo Geo game and was a game to put on, to shut up the SNES and Amiga fanboys/girls . Really enjoyed the Saturn game and loved its top use of the VDP II and laughed at the lame PS version, true to emu the VDP II effects and failing miserable. I also loved TH V front end and menu system, it was so slick and so professional

Was so looking forward to TF VI but it showed that Sammy gave the team next to no budget and it was done on the cheap and looked cheap (very much like Dariusburst)

The "Styx" ship from Thunder Force III can be selected after clearing all the stages on 1 credit (no continues) and entering a special code given after the ending. At the main Gold Pack 2 game select screen, highlight Thunder Force IV, then hold X+Y and press Start. Continue this on all menus afterward until the game starts. The Styx ship as all weapons and sound effects from Thunder Force III; even the game's normal font changes to match!
