My twitter feed is mainly from gaming peeps so they keep popping up in there, a few people have had problems with labels getting ripped because of the super flush adapters but so far just one screen trying to escape.
I would hate to think that Analogue are cutting corners on QC just to meet the demand for the Pocket.

    Time will tell, I guess.

With how much exposure the pocket has been getting online if this had been a more widespread problem i imagine we'd have heard a lot more about it, so far think it's just bad luck. I don't think they will dare to cut corners as they will get crucified for it online as this is been pushed as high end premium product & not one of the regular chinese emulation handhelds.

I've seen complaints about shoulder buttons (they're not great), d-pad accuracy, some cart slot pin issues (one of my own is a little bent though it still reads carts just fine) and I saw another example of a screen corner protruding a little too. Screen wise it seems as if the unit is glued in in the same way a GB screen lens would be. Examples I have seen with the GG adaptor note that their labels were already peeling, feels a bit misleading.

Of course this will come off as defensive but I think people are quick to blow things out of proportion. That isn't to say every unit is perfect, I'm hoping the QC improves as time goes on. Even started to consider replacing the cart slot on mine myself, that minor defect is annoying considering what I paid and how long I have waited.

If anyone else was having issues with EEPROM saves with the GBA EverDrive krikzz released an OS update to address it:

Heads-up that Waterfield, sellers of these fine leather jackets products now have two cases for the Pocket. There's the Pack if you're planning on taking your accessories with you, and the Pouch if you're looking for something smaller.

I finally got to installing the screen protector on mine the other day. Total panic ensued as I ended up with more air bubbles than a multipack of Aeros, but thankfully I managed to work them all out without needing to apply too much pressure. Aside from the screen, the other big thing I'm actually finding really useful are the suspend/wake features. I'd not really thought about it before, but it's such a huge difference plus able to stop and start whatever you're playing at a moment's notice.

fuse, I saw this Pelican case and it looks like a decent fit, but not perfect.
Would deffo keep it safe, though.

Nice one. When I finally get mine I reckon I'll get one of the Pouches. They look really nice. The green is particularly natty. Have you ordered one?

Not sure I'm going to be able to manage a screen protector. I always eff them up so I'll probably just leave it.

I knew I'd want one so managed to get a hard case direct from Analogue with my initial order. I'm not sure it's too practical for out and about, but for indoors it's pretty nice, if a bit of a dust magnet.

Haven't ordered a Waterfield leather one yet but I am considering it. That said, the idea of going out is scary enough right now, let alone the idea of taking out a piece of tech that I can't replace should it get lost/stolen/damaged.

Good point. You should be careful. If I see you I will probably be the one to steal it.

I wonder what’s happening with jailbreak progress - have you seen anything Speedy?

Not a thing. A community has grown around patching GB ROMs to be run via the .pocket extension though. It doesn't really interest me and I've been lucky enough to have my EverDrives work.

This latest firmware also introduced visual glitching for me when playing GBA titles docked.

Bit of a random one but on the 15th I actually sent my unit back to Analogue for an RMA. I received the same unit back so I assume they either replaced my iffy cart slot as requested or swapped out the board entirely. Either way, I received the unit back on the 25th with the requested repair. They refunded my cost to get it to them and I wasn't charged customs for the return. Feeling a lot better about the whole thing now that my cart slot niggle has been resolved. Just need some more firmware updates...
