What Do People Think Of The Evercade?

My understanding is that the EXP-R (vs the EXP) lost the mini-HDMI out, but that the VS-R kept everything functionally and just changed the look.

The bartop "Alpha" ones are coming at the end of this month, have managed to resist so far...

Put my order in for arcade collections Data East 2 and Toaplan 3, and saw a chinese tate grip holder for £18 pop up coming out end of November, likely ripped of Esty or something similar... going to give that go as Evercade-R in tate mode is deeply uncomfortable (and my preferred way to play Burger Time)

Ended up ordering the OG VS console, coming Saturday. Snagged the Renovation cart and pre ordered Toaplan 3 for Truxton 2. I'm in.

Think the thing that wins for this is the slickness of the interface, it doesn't feel like a cheap system. It is what it is though, doesn't do anything you couldnt do with a bacotera / mame build etc but just adds much convenience if you can't be arsed to DIY. Games are well emulated and they look really nice.

I love the arcade, but I'm not bothered by the Alphas. Hope we get more Super Pockets next year too.

Had Toaplan arcade 4 show up, was looking forward to the shooters but it's definitely Knuckle Bash that's winning me over with its campy charms.

Had amazon cancel my Toaplan Arcade 3, Data East Arcade 2 and the tate handle... not even overpriced copies on Ebay. Blaze are such nobs.

And my worst fears about a system came true, data east 2 and Toaplan 3 never came into stock, ebay prices going north fast. Can't be arsed to be involved in this, went back to mame essentially rendered Evercade pointless. Bye bye.

Graaaaaargh! Yeah this absolutely sucks. I got lucky with Toaplan 3 but not 4, and while I *think* I've just secured one, I've had to go via a US-based retailer. Same place is showing out of stock for vol 3 still, unfortunately :/ https://songbird-productions.com/pro...ercade/page/2/
