    GameCube power supply question

I had always thought that a Japanese GameCube needed a step-down converter to use in the UK.
So I've always used one for my Japanese cube since I got one around 2004 ish.

But I read recently that you could use a UK GameCube power brick and lead and it would work ok, is that correct?
Don't want to risk it unless anyone here has any better knowledge!

That is correct. The voltage conversions are done in the power brick.

Ideal thanks, good to know if my Japan one goes kaput!
Got a spice orange cube turn up today from Japan and it was only the machine, so good to know I can use either power brick I already have.
