Looks like Mario Kart's gonna get it. Truthfully I'd be happy with that. It was marvellous back in the day.

I think that's a fair result. My personal fave is SoR2, but there's no denying the importance or greatness of Mario Kart.

Would the result have been the same if you counted the votes from the previous threads (for those three games)?

It's still the best game in the franchise as far as I'm concerned.

Yes, MK8/MK8D is the franchise best-seller, but it undoubtedly sold out and watered down a lot of the principles that SMK established.

                    DON'T. @. ME.

Honestly one of the best things about SMK is that they're so consistent; like a person could make a case for any of them being the best for a number of reasons.

I would have a harder time with DS/Wii but they were still fantastic games in their own way.

The first is a real marvel. I put it on for my nephews when the SNES mini came out, both under 9 years old, and they caned it for a whole evening. And you normally can't get them to sit still long enough to watch a TV show.

I get what you're trying to say here, but I do think that Mario Kart DS had genuinely fantastic multiplayer despite the "broken" snaking boost mechanic.

                            Mario Kart Wii sucked though.
