This is honestly one of my all-time favourite games and the fact that we didn't get a sequel is a crime. A CRIME.

It's so much fun and it's absolutely adorable. And the visuals and music are perfect.

This looks like so much fun. BTW guys I have really been enjoying reading your impressions of all the games in the series in this thread. I don't contribute because I haven't played much Street Fighter. But I love the look of this one, it looks really accessible and quirky. I do remember it coming out at the time and being in magazines and so on, but it's not one I've ever played.

        Game 47 - Namco x Capcom
A tactical RPG starring characters from both franchises, the game featured a large script and many obscure characters which contributed to Capcom deciding not to release the game outside of Japan. It scored strong sales despite reviews that were mixed on response. The game later received spiritual successors that branched off with Sega and Nintendo characters entering the mix.

Did you ever try this out?

Sadly I never played it, due to the lack of an English release. Always liked the look of it and played some of its spirtual successors (Super Robot Wars OG Saga, Project X Zone).

Played a few hours worth, but don't really have any particularly strong feelings about it, nor was I ever inspired to see through the whole thing. Mind you, for the pittance it goes for, it's worth having just for the (fabulous) intro!

Namco X Capcom and the Project X Zone games all suffer from the same problem - great fanservice, average strategy RPG gameplay. Style over substance.

Funnily enough, both Project X Zone games have long been removed from the 3DS eShop due to the licensing rights expiring (and the sales figures presumably not worth the cost of renewing), which obviously means that the cost of the physical games have now increased considerably.

You would be surprised if you saw what people were asking for it on eBay now... I picked a copy up for just under £7 3 years ago now.

I think people just like owning games with fan translations which has the usual knock on effect with price.

Yeah, I was just about to say, I see this has a fan translation now.

I've never heard of it before this thread, immediately made me think of Project X Zone though.

Game 48 - Street Fighter Online: Mouse Generation
Featuring character customisation and controlled solely using a mouse, this entry is now effectively lost to time being an online only title from 2008. In addition to Street Fighter characters, Capcom licensed anime characters to add into the mix and eventually had a roster of around 20 fighters with the most notable and the GOAT of all Street Fighter fighters was added - Barack Obama

Any memories of this, our penultimate title for this thread?

Here we go... the final entry into the thread as we step away from the Street Fighter franchise with fans left waiting for the arrival of Street Fighter VI

Game 49 - Street Fighter x Mega Man
A fan made game but with the distinction of having Capcom support its development. A free platformer, it was released ten years ago and effectively was a new Mega Man game with Street Fighter characters acting as bosses and enemies along with merging the theming.

A good title to sign off on?

Yet another one I didn't know existed. I'm not a Mega Man fan at all so this wouldn't be for me but I like that it exists.

I knew the chap who made that. Singaporean. Real quiet fella who used to pop in and out of FGC gatherings.

That's how the start of interviews about serial killers sound.
