If you could only have one retro console, what would you choose?

Wii is a great choice, library is huge with some gems and obviously GC backwards compatibiliy. Add to that the virtual console games, you have a smashing system.

Either that or Dreamcast for me. Library is big enough for me to have not played some key titles (Bass Fishing, Shenmue 2, Skies of Arcadia, f.ex) and some of the nooks and crannies (e.g. Gut's Rage, Floigan Bros) and new homebrew titles (Gunlord, Xenocider, etc).

It's gotta be the ps2. It's still in a league of its own. So many quality titles.

Tough choice between Saturn, Neo-Geo or SNES.

Makes my head hurt. Saturn at a push just for Elevator Action Returns and SFA3.

But not having those Nintendo platformers would suck.

My kids asked me what I would quickly grab on the way out of the house if the fire alarm ever went off. Without any hesitation I said "My Mister"

That's obviously the best answer by far, but I didn't think it'd be allowed. Mine's currently holding 99% of everything released in the 20th Century. Plus some games later than that, even.

Luckily I no longer have to choose, so I can have both a PS2 and a Wii with their respective HDDs connected up to the same screens as the MiSTer for the best of all worlds. I only need a N64 EverDrive (and some controllers) and I'm set forever.

                Heart says Saturn.

Head says an early PS3 with PS2 and PS1 backwards compatibility.
