We have an entire sub-forum for games that have just released and we're experiencing during those emerging weeks, the retro forum is full of tales of games beloved across the decades too. However, inbetween the beloved and the forgotten lies a layer of games that once saw hours of playtime from eager gamers but now... these many years later.... are fired up and a short time into revisiting them see you reaching for the off button as you think to yourself... "nah"

Sometimes your tastes have changed, sometimes a game has simply aged too much to enjoy anymore.

Most recent for me has been MGS1. I've gone through the game so many times over the years but it's been a fair old while and now I'm about 1/3 of the way through and it feels a tad... basic? It slips into being a bit dull and I'm not sure if it's reached the point where it might be time to let the memory lie.
