Two notable ones here.
First, which I haven't voted for - Mace: The Dark Age. I had this back in the day; the N64 didn't have many good 3D fighting games, making this, weirdly, one of the best, mainly because it had such a range of characters. It was trash in the grand scheme, but due to the price of N64 games I had to make the best of it!
Second, which I have voted for - Marvel Super Heroes Vs. Street Fighter. When I eventually got a PS1, I got this cheap (ironically, it ended up being a very expensive game) and while it's generally lambasted by the community (due to the PS1 RAM bottleneck, the "Vs" games removed the tag feature and compromised in numerous areas) I honestly loved it and played it solidly for months. -
I voted for Interstate 76 on the strength of the soundtrack alone. Amazing.Comment

Some of my all-time favourite games are on that list, but nothing I'd throw a GOTY vote towards. Especially not when stuff like Goldeneye and Star Fox 64 came out that year.Last edited by dataDave; 05-01-2023, 21:07.Comment

Wow, some great stuff in there. I have a soft spot for the K-1 games, also KoF 97, Marvel vs Street Fighter and The Last Blade. 3 incredible fighting games there.Comment
