I went with Excitebike 64 and Fantavision. I never felt like I had a true grasp of Fantavision's intricacies but I always enjoyed playing it, making the screen look pretty. FFIX always looked amazing but it's one I've never gotten around to playing.

I'd say we mist be reaching the point where I said **** this to modern gaming and retreated in to retro for a long period, games I was a huge fan of seem to be drying up. I did absolutely love Fur Fighters on the Dreamcast though, might add that to my download list and see what I think of it now, might be a hard return?

Final Fantasy IX. Played it during my final year of school and loved it so much I didn't want it to end. I got to the last boss and couldn't go through it since that would mean the game was over. It was only a few years ago that I finally booted the game back up and took him on. Had no idea what I was doing but I was so overpowered from doing every little thing I could in the game that I steamrolled him.

Okay, so I liked Evil Dead enough to give it a tick here.
Played like a Resident Evil game, but with Ash. Resident Evil Dead?
Like the further adventures of Ash after Army of Darkness with some fun lines referencing the films.
Ash, fighting a tree monster: "Yo, tree bitch. Let's go."

For me, the MVP here is Monkey Island. What a delightful, funny and irreverent game that was.

However, I'm going to give a shout out to the amazing Fighting Mania game, which crosses boxercise, Dance Mania and Fist of the North Star to create a truly bonkers and sweat-inducing arcade game that recreates the thrill of doing Kenshiro's 百裂拳, Hundred Crack Fist in real life.
It's a genuinely fun experience and one you're only ever going to experience in an arcade and it's a massive tribute the the manliest of animes.

Here's a shirtless man playing it:

Oh Fighting Mania, I missed that. What a generic name for a Fist of the North Star game lol. That was amazing to play, wish I still had access to it.

I can't imagine Elasto Mania gets many votes, but it gets mine. Very simple and fun game... I just googled it and apparently a remastered version has been ported to Nintendo Switch, that is really tempting.

Escape from Monkey Island was a game that I was anticipating a lot back then, but to me it was a huge let down. The transition to 3D did not work at all and the story and jokes were bland. It's intresting to see that there were people who enjoyed it.

Actually, you're right I'm thinking this was the original and I've revoted - d'oh!
