Morrowind is the clear winner which i ran on my Xbox OG at the time, first time coming across such a huge game which could be roll played how you wanted.

Also i have soft spot for Disaster Report series in general and Eternal Darkness, so they get a vote to.

I originally played Morrowind on the Xbox, but I ended up buying the PC version because of bugs that were never fixed. One of those games that wouldn't be made today because it's outside of the focus-grouped development, for better or worse.

There are ways of playing it now which make it modern-day playable, it's definitely worth taking a look at OpenMW and the mods around it, and if you've only experienced Skyrim, then you've not seen all that the Elder Scrolls series has offered over the years.

I voted for Morrowind too, even though I wasn't its biggest fan, I could see what it was about and it it had some marvelous ideas.

I don't really enjoy the bullet hell of DDP and having (for me at least) to rely on smartbombs as the only means of escape but DDP DOJ is brilliant and I thoroughly enjoy it

Good old Disaster Report/SOS The Final Escape/Zettai something-or-other. Love the concept of surviving an earthquake, gradually starts to cut corners as it goes on (I get the impression Irem ran out of money) and suffers a lousy localisation by Agetec where they bleached the main character’s hair blonde and replaced every single texture with Japanese text on it. It’s a flawed game, but I love it. It answers all the big questions like if you’re going up a ladder with a girl and she asks you to go first so you can’t look up their skirt.
