They won't win the GotY awards, but I had a lot of fun playing through Evil Dead (a Resident Evil clone, but with loads of Ash quotes) and Enter The Matrix.

So, a lot of people got mad that you didn't play Neo in this, but I really liked the combat in it.
It wasn't massively complex, but there was a neat counter button that made it feel like you were fighting like in the movie.

Fair play to the Wachowskis for their Matrix vision, using anime to tell stories based in that universe (and some backstory) and the videogame to tell parts that weren't in the film. Whilst The Matrix Reloaded told Neos story, there was references to "you guys go off and do this" and those were the parts Enter The Matrix told, even filming specific sequences with the actual cast, making it feel canon, high-budget and part of the bigger story.

Espgaluda! One of the best SHMUPS of all time!

I still enjoy Espgaluda to this day and was particularly fond of the iOS port. Geometry Wars Retro Evolved is slice of purest gaming and I spent way too much time playing it.

F-Zero GX is my clear vote but back in the day I enjoyed Freedom Fighters quite a bit too. Always meant to go through Ghosthunter but never have

Yeah, Espgaluda is my choice here too. What a game, man.

Secondary shout-outs to F-Zero GX and Geometry Wars, also both excellent games. Giftpia and Glass Rose both still on the "maybe one day" list. Know FFT:A is meant to be brilliant too, but every attempt to play that has ended in failure. I loved Crystal Chronicles when I first played it, but revisiting it with the recent remaster was a very harsh wake-up call.

I'll go with Freelancer which is a great game even to this day. I've played it multiple times over the years and never get tired of it.

I'm surprised its not available digitally.
