PSP Ridge Racer is still one of the best RR games. Only beaten by its Sequel

I voted for the PSP entry as well but also the seminal Rallisport Challenge 2.

This was a solid run too for games I wouldn't vote for but enjoyed in that AA-clunky way. Games like Punisher, Psi-Ops etc

        Quest of D, you say?

My vote's gone to Psyvariar 2 because it's ace, and Shadow Hearts: Covenant because I also remember enjoying that a fair bit. For shame, I've not spent enough time with Ridge Racers or The Rumble Fish, but they're also good candidates.

Looking at all these lists makes me realise 2004 was an absolute peak for gaming. I was having a blast.

Shogun started the Total War series, but Rome cemented it as one of the best strategy games to ever come to the PC - a derivative of which featured on the BBC's Time Commanders, taught people about history allowing them to recreate famous battles, and arguably remains one of the strongest entries in the Total War series (and recently remastered).

I played this on my work PC in the evening, people thought I was working late. Many armies were defeated.

Ridge Racers on the PSP was such a legendary game in every way. God, the day I got that import through from Japan. It absolutely blew my socks off.
