Saturn. Is it worth buying one??

My first post ever , The Saturn is my favourite console ever. I've owned almost all of the different variations over the years but the one that everyone wants is the Hi-Saturn Navi. I wont tell you about it but google it and see what you think.

Now that is a seriously expensive bit of kit.

afaik, you can switch mod a PAL saturn very easily, (cut a couple of tracks and put in a couple of switches to select region and video output). You might want to look into doing that as its probably cheaper than importing.

Getting a Saturn is more than worth it - Panzer Dragoon Saga is one of the most engrossing and beautiful games you'll ever play.

i recently got a saturn and am very impressed with some of the games, Dodonpachi, Soukyugurentai are brilliant. As for multiplayer bomberman comes second best by a long way to Death Tank Zwei, its an extra option that comes up on duke nukem 3d when you have a quake savegame on the memory. for up to 7 players and its great fun. got a multitap and 5 extra controllers for about ?20 - ?25 off lik-sang if that is of help to anyone.

How playable is Saga in Japanese? Can you still get access to walkthroughs etc?

There's little point in playing Azel tbh... sure, it's much cheaper but walkthrough or not (which you can get BTW) you'll miss out on half of what makes the game such a great experience.

As ridiculous as the current asking prices for the English language versions are, I'm inclined to say it's prob worth it, moreso than any of the other l@@k r@r3!111oneone Saturn games

I've got to agree with Saurian and Valken. Panzer Dragoon Saga is probably one of the most aesthetically and beautifully accomplished titles of the last generation. It really is up with Final Fantasy VII in the RPG-quality stakes.

Considering I only played it last year, I still think the game's art style holds up fantastically well today.

Uru and it's changing colours.... What an absorbingly haunting place.

And there are so many locations like that. Ah... I only played through Saga once upon initially picking it up around last march. I really need to play it again now that I'm recalling how good the game actually is. Well worth the praise in my opinion.
