CCIV: Game of the Year 2007 - Round One

This will be a very telling year to work through. I've always had it in my mind that 2007 was one of the last truly stellar years for releases, but will that bear out as the rounds unfold?

Which of the above games are among the best of 2007 and why?

Ace Combat 6 is still my favourite of the series, i like that it treats you like hero by the end of the game "It's Garuda Team" along with all the fantastic cheese.

Voted for Assassin's Creed (1). I didn't actually play it until winter 2008, but I absolutely loved it.

The first Assassin's Creed was pretty amazing.

Air Traffic Chaos (also known as air traffic controller in europe) and Azada.

Azada is one of those hidden gems people talk about, absolutely fantastic puzzle game.

I played AC1 again recently. It was quite good, but always found it annoying, even back then. It’s a little too easy to set off hordes of guards which can sometimes be hard to shake off. I did enjoy scaling the viewpoints and went so far as to scale them all!

None for me in this round. AC is the most notable one and I remember enjoying it but not finding it to be that great, the peak of the series still yet to come when it fully clicked

I remember playing Aqua Teen Hunger Force Zombie Ninja Pro-Am. It wasn't very good.

None for me, I think 2007 may well be the point where I fully drifted away from new games for a while as the kind of games I like started to dry up.
