Forum text all distorted in Firefox
Strange thing I noticed, for a couple of weeks (I think since I updated Firefox), the text on this forum looks WEIRD. It doesn't happen on other sites, only here.
The letters appear thicker and then thinner. As if there's a vertical wave pattern, due to misaligned resolution. You know, like when you crank a SNES emulator to something ridiculous which isn't divisible by 2. Like 677 x 483.
Looking at the text I typed, the letter I appears thin, but the letter l (small L) appears super thick.
Anyone else having thing this?
My options for fonts is to let the website choose its own font and size.
PS: I'm too lazy to post a screenshot.

I knew there was a bugs topic, but I was searching in Off Topic, whereas it's in this sub-forum. My apologies.
CTRL+0 resizes the text to default, which doesn't change anything.
Specs:
Windows XP / Windows 7
Firefox 26.0
Res: 1024 x 768
Pic (click it to see native resolution version, the forum shrinks it slightly)
Notice how some letters have a strange thickness to them.
As mentioned, I am not forcing the use of a font, I ticked the box to allow the website to choose its own.

Which forum theme are you using? V3?
And if you hit auto-adjust on the monitor does it change?
Bit weird that it only happens on this site.
Does it change if you alter the following setting:
Options > Advanced > General > Browsing: "Use hardware acceleration when available" (change whatever the tick status is)Last edited by charlesr; 13-02-2014, 08:30.

1024 x 768.... you certainly love your retro.
Increasing the resolution would solve that.
Goodness knows how you can exist online in that resolution, my phone is double that!
Make sure windows font smoothing is turned on.
