Just wanna say I have a season 1 Lost script book/making of and in it it does say that Kate was going to be our lead and that Jack was going to get killed very early in season. The episode where the pilot is killed in tree, it was going to be Jacks body that got taken and that would be the first shock moment in season.

I can't stand Jack anymore, as I said before I only really like Hurley now! Sawyer and Kate are just horrible.
throughout he's tried to be the hero, but he has neither the temperament or the understanding of the situation to succeed. He's lead, and now almost all the Losties are dead. Quality job.
whereas if he'd opened his mind,as he now has, and not shot down Lockes point of view from Day One, things may well have gone better.
The notion Locke was acting psychotic is amusing. He understood. He was acting for the Island,in it's interests. He killed someone to try to prevent her calling in an army of mercenaries who were out to kill everyone on the Island. Oh yes, clearly Locke was CRAZY!!!! Lol.
At the end of his life, he was ful of anger because he couldn't get his point across, people weren't listening to him.
I've been genuinely surprised people were willing to follow him from the start. He's not my idea of a leader. His vanity and ego always dragged him down to threatening what he couldn't understand.

When he killed that woman she was phoning the same people that Jack did that eventualy lead them to getting off the island. the mercinaries were there for Ben, Locke caused everyone trouble when he stabbed her becuase she gave the firghter a secret message that stated she had been killed by someone on the Island, she had trusted Jacks group up until that point but that trust was gone when Locke stabbed her. I'm starting to wonder how much of the show you actualy remember properly, You clearly love the character, and thats fine, he was a good character, but he wasnt a good guy, nowhere near one.
Anyway we will be at this forever... lets just agree to disgree on the subject of whos the hero of the show ok?
oh yeah and...

Looking forward to the finale but here's a posting i made on another forum oct 24 2005!
Apart from a few mistakes looks like i wasn't too far from the truth! Obvioulsy i did'nt know about Jacob and the MIB but the desmond part isnt too far off the mark !
Original posting is here : http://www.4815162342.com/forum/view...853d398355186a
'This is my first post so be kind!!!
Here's what i thought about the series after seeing ep3 of the 2nd series, its my thoughts on what its all about.
How about this :-
The jack /desmond talk after desmond has left the hatch jack catches up with him.
Desmond asks him how the girl was he operated on,his response to jacks answer is'nt one of surprise but it looks like he knew what had happened already.
As he leaves he says 'see you in another life, brother'.
Its what he said to him when he met him while running in the stadium.
The book 'the third policeman' that the producers mentioned had the idea that you could somehow look into the past by using a series of mirrors.
Maybe the numbers in the show were discovered to cause a slight tear in time in which you could go back and forth through time.Using the data they could have constructed a machine that would let you do this. This could be what is buried under the hatch,it would have to have huge power consumption and the island with its massive electro magnetic force could be the source of energy needed for this.
The general view of time is that its like a straight line, but if there are alternative ways time can change like a form of chance and you could go back and rectify mistakes.
One idea was that time is layered with many outcomes in what action's you take in decision making.
Now here's the hard part:-
jack meets desmond in the stadium he hears about the girl and the operation.
He gets to the island (i don't believe he just arrived there i think he's part of the hanso project) he's part of the team working on the project,we haven't been told what he does just that he was going to be a doctor,he uses the machine and by meeting jack again he somehow upsets the pattern of events triggering off the alternative outcome of the operation.Sarah wakes and the operation seems like a miracle. If jack had'nt met desmond then sarah would have been crippled.
If you take that as an example then the show takes on another meaning, there's a lot of refrencing to time, choices and the very nature of the programme shown in flashbacks with no timescales would back up this idea.I've got my ideas on the 108 min button pressing as well, but id like to see some peoples ideas on the show.
That my view on it anyway, but feel free to point any glaring faults with it!!
I'm bound to be so wide of the mark!!!
Sorry if this has been covered elsewhere!!'Last edited by bagpuss66; 22-05-2010, 13:13.

Earlier this afternoon I was initially thinking I wouldn't bother waking up for it and would instead nab the 720p cap later on that evening (or else it'd be on the CRT) but an hour ago my dad just bought a plasma so I could just watch it on Sky HD in the morning.
Still, 5am's quite early, and I believe it'll be two hours altogether, but I'm worried I'll be sitting on the train or at the library on Monday and someone will have seen it and might ruin bits. It could happen!
